Welcome welcome to the forum!!  I'm sure you'll find a lot of good stuff here, and I'm excited to hear that you want to go to a bunch of haunts.  We can always use more good reviewers, especially those who have experience.

I hope you have a great time here, and have fun!   Cheesy

Welcome skyttlez!  Yes, here you will find some of the most haunt, scare and fear addicts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.  Glad to have you aboard, and I truly hope you get to experience a plethora of haunts this year (I myself have attended over 2 dozen in the last 2 seasons, along with honey, karmakrazy13 and wickedwitch).

On a side note, we may be revamping the review section this year, so if you would like to be a review, keep your eyes peeled for more information as the year progresses.

I never got around to the introductions.  These days I'm Tommy (wanna cookie?); in the past I've been the Ratcatcher.  I've been a regular at the Hacker House pretty much since the beginning.  Once a year I drive just over 350 miles to come play at The Greatest Show On Earth then when they get sick of me I turn around and drive the 350 miles home.  If you've ever met Tommy, you know what a feat that really is.

Hacker House is the best...yes, it is.  I'll be back this year.  Swing on by and say hi.

Well heck, I guess I should formally intro myself. I'm Ric, I Help out at the Midway wicked woods.  I also act ....like a fool Wink   Love me some horror of all kinds.  I actually have been browsing in here for awhile to see what makes you guys tick, so we know better ways to scare you at MIDWAY WICKED WOODS, that's Midway wicked woods.. spelled  M i d w a y  w i c k e d w o o d s (trying to shamelessly 2  plug Midway wicked woods  Grin )  But seriously, you guys are some of the best sources  of what makes fans of haunts , well fans of haunts....and it's a honor to be hanging out with you guys.  I actually got to see some of you guys come through, and we are seriously working/learning/ implementing better ways to give you the thrills and chills you want.

It's also an honor to be in here with a lot of haunters that as a kid I grew up getting scared by. Growing up, my older brother and his friends always talked about how scary the Hacker house  and I think Dr Evil in Charlotte???. (I mean  my brother is not That much older, but I didn't get brave enough to enjoy haunts until I was older )I grew up loving Spooky woods,  and have since enjoyed ALL of the featured and not featured haunts. Its seem that each and everyone offers something for everyone. So basically not only do i enjoy helping produce the scares I enjoy receiving too. Any who, didn't mean to write a boring ars book..

And Tommy, your antics are always awesome, glad to have you aboard!

Midway, plug away, that's what we're here for.  I visited Midway in 07 and 08, and enjoyed it both times.  It's great to see that we're helping out haunts with this forum.  That was the idea behind it the whole time.  Keep people informed, share ideas, make some friends, and have a good time.  Don't be afraid to ask some opinions (as long as you can handle the response), and I'm sure the haunt lovers we have on here will be more than happy to help you out any way they can.  Good luck in this coming season, and be sure to keep us posted on any progress at the haunt.

I am Luke. I live in Danbury, the center point between Pilot Mountain, home of The Hacker House, and the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area, home to LOTS of haunts. Halloween is my favorite holiday, even over Christmas, exept for Jesus' birth. I live on a farm with ostriches, emus, goats, cows, mules, dogs, cats, etc. If someone were to count the number of Halloween decor i have, it would greatly exceed 1000 items. Here on my family's farm, we have held numerous non-profit haunted trails and are now starting to make our own animatronics. I love visiting haunted houses and trails of every kind to find inspiration for future all hallows eves and most importantly, the scare, which is halloweens main point!

Welcome welcome to the family!  Nice intro, I'm interested in the animatronics you are starting to make, that sounds awesome.  Not the easiest thing in the world to try and do, especially when you aim to make them realistic!

Enjoy it here, and keep us updated!!

Welcome Terrorizer!  Nice to see someone who so actively participates in all aspects of Halloween.  Be sure to support your local haunts this season (and every season!).  Stick around, hang out, and stay active.  Don't be shy!

Welcome krb187!  I was actually a 2nd dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do until a knee injury several years ago.  Any particular martial arts that you study?

And I have to agree with the general atmosphere of October and Halloween.  I've actually been anticipating it for a good 2 weeks now.  I'm getting tired of the oppressive heat.
