I really want to get to Hacker House this year.  It's a haul from Charlotte for us, and we missed it last year but went the year before.  We absolutely love that place.

Thank God, we are FINALLY making our way back up to Hacker House this year.

Due to time constraints, we will only be able to make it to one other haunt after HH, so it's either going to be X-treme Fear or WOT.

We did the Spooky/Booger combo last year. It was a blast, but we'd feel weird if we did the same haunts every year. If only there was enough time!

I will certainly try to get to as many as I can.  This year I have major conflicts during two weekends in August (including the Charlotte Zombie Walk on October 15th).  I have an opportunity to go to Busch Garden's Howl-O-Scream in Tampa all-expenses paid via RFR but I don't know if I can do it or not...  Tongue

Absolutely!  How can you not tell?!  It said clearly on the label "Golden Eagle."  (at least the head did)

See...I knew I liked her for a reason, even when she comes after me with needles.

All the haunts within the area, 2 hour zone around winston-salem have been awesome.  Has anyone been to the haunted thing that Universal Studios puts on?  I was thinking about going to Orlando and checking it out this year.  If anyone can give a review that would be great.  Thanks!

I believe handfulofrubies82 and radiant_red went to Universal Studios last year.  I think they posted a review, too.

Universal didn't live up to the hype. I think I did review it, but the problem was the crowd of people. They sold way too many tickets. All the mazes were like a cattle call. No breaks, just one person after another. There were no thrills or chills in the mazes because you saw everything because you could see 15 people  ahead of you at all times. The potential was there because their sets were awesome, but it was such a big letdown. When we got in the park, the first two mazes were 20 minutes waits, but after that, each maze was an hour or more wait; it was ridiculous. A lot of times I had drunk, stumbling, falling people around me in line. They should have been thrown out. The best things, in my opinion were the scare zones. I genuinely enjoyed them. If you go, go on a weekday or a Sunday. Whenever you think there would be less people. I could go to Scarowinds 3 times for what I paid for a ticket to Universal, and the cab ride from Disney. I' won't go again.

Thank you guys for your responses.  I usually go to Scarowinds myself every year too, they put on a good production.  Tickets are a good price too.  I think Universal charges about $80, so  I'm 50/50 about going at this point.   I may go just to experience it, not a cheap trip though.  Thanks again.
