well, not so much...

The rain storm last Sunday flooded the haunt and surrounding area.  Looks like anywhere from 6"-8" of water flowed through, in and around the haunt.
It's amazing how stuff moves in water - several items from the back of the haunt (which we just cleaned up, btw) are now residing *inside* the front courtyard area!  The water had to open the gate and push stuff into the courtyard... go figure!
We have been working on renovating the haunt's bathroom, and the toilet's hole made a great drain - until the septic tank filled up.  (no, its not *that* kind of nasty inside the haunt, thankfully the tank had been emptied for repairs earlier - its just water, but still).
And everything on the floor was submerged... no idea yet what may or may not be damaged - still getting the water out.
The woodpile outside isn't there anymore.  We lost some wood, but most of it seems to be spread from the woodpile area up to the front parking lot, and what's there has all been "re-arranged".
The driveway and parking area was scoured down to the underlying clay, and the gravel is spread in rather interesting patterns around the edges and into the creek.

And, they're announcing a major winter storm on the way this weekend.  So far, it's being a fun winter!

Check out the forecast  (get your bread & milk now!)  ;-)

It's been kind of rough here too! We are east of Raleigh, so it has been mostly high winds &  rain..But we have had a ton of it!  There are alot of tree tops , branches, & even some trees down all over the place on the trail.  A couple of out "shacks" have been relocated due to the wind, I think it's mother nature's way of telling me to change the trail up some for the 2010 season! Hang in there, I'm  sure in October it will just be a memory, because there will be 1000 other things  for you to worry about.

Not too bad - it wasn't the 'wtf!' moment from the last rainstorm we had...
We got between 10"-12" in the last snow.  No damage inside (its still drying out though)... a few leaky roofs in HackerTown outside, and I think one of them is about to fall in due to the weight... in any case, it'll need replacing when it warms up.  The woodpile is still scattered about, now under the snow. Could have been far worse, but then again, its just February!
Think I'll take up skiing ....
