Hey guys, just wanted to kown about some of your favorite haunted house moments. It could be an unbelievable set, actor that was over the top, a gag that you still can't believe, an awesone facade entrance that made you feel like you were 10 yrs old while waiting to go inside, a group that you'll never froget, whatever! I want to hear about it. Thanks.

I have way too many to list. The 2 girls that attached themselves to ~honey~ and me 2 years ago at Xtreme Fear. We left with scratch marks and ringing ears because they were so freaked out. My first night acting at a haunt, I'll never forget. Simply seeing some of the bigger haunts, the sheer spectacle of places like Spookywoods and Woods of Terror. The setting at Mountain of Horror, the low-lying fog coming off the pond...creepy. Having my mind completely changed my first time back to Hacker House in 5 years. Walking through Phil Morris' 2 haunted attractions, and being awestruck by the props and costumes. Meeting several fellow Frightseekers over the last 2 years, some of which we had some awesome times together at haunts (and outside of haunts) But most of all...
Just the feeling around Halloween. The feeling of walking up to a haunt, into a darkened room, or cave, or cornfield, not knowing what's around the next corner. Being scared, or made to laugh, or grossed out. Watching the reactions of the people around you, listening to their conversations and hearing what scares them. Seeing the big tough guy get the crap scared out of him. Watching the girl break down into tears and having to be escorted out. The smell of the leaves, the fires, the pumpkins, the "fog". That musty smell from inside a haunt, dust, cobwebs, fake blood, make-up, latex, sweat, fear... That's what Halloween is all about.

I have to agree with Slappy about the overall feel of Halloween. I could probably pick a favorite moment from every haunt I've been too. Whether its the break-dancing battle between a clown and scarecrow at Spookywoods or seeing a "tough guy" friend of mine scream like a girl at X-Treme Fear. But, if I had to pick one stand out moment it was 2 years ago at Midway Wicked Woods, me and 2 friends of mine had just gotten through the haunt and were sitting at the picnic tables at the end of it. We were talking about what we just did when we heard a scream. There was a little girl, maybe 10 yrs old, running up the hill from the main office building. Behind her was a full grown man dressed as a clown running full speed after her. The look of just sheer terror in her face kept us laughing for a very long time. It still brings a smile to my face thinking about it.

My favorite memory was when I was 5 years old and Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ still had their Haunted House. I don't remember much about the house until the end when an axe fell in front of me and some guy came out of the darkness talking about "I want to eat your brain". The next thing I remember was my dad catching me at the other end of the park because I was gone.
One of the best facades that really set me up for a haunt is the entrance to Cannibal Creek at the Castle of Horror in Reidsville. I didn't enjoy the actual haunt as much as the set-up teased me with, but the entrance is super cool!

My first year at Scarowinds in 2002 I was working under an outdoor vortex light and popped at a family of Asians. Granny didn't like that and came after me with her handbag flailing. I was trying to back up and the family was yelling at her to come back but she continued her onslaught. The security guard was too busy laughing to be any help. Finally I ducked under a tarp and she tried to come after me but couldn't. When word got out, the VP of Paramount (who was visiting the park that weekend) sat on the bench behind me and stayed there for over an hour watching me go after visitors. he told me that I had the most entertaining spot in the entire park that season. From then on, I was hooked. I had been on the job two days.
I was working at Scarowinds in 2004 and had a woman literally crap her pants in front of me. I did a standard pop scare at her and she stodd there for a second, shook her leg and 'evidence' came out onto the pavement. We had to shut down the area for a few minutes until we could get a cleanup crew in there. My supervisor bought me a steak dinner that night...

I have to agree with you I love the front of cannibal Creek, & those steps going all the way to the bottom are crazy! Kirt did a great job with it!

i'm raising this one from the dead My favorite moment ever, we were in Orlando FLA, at Skull Kingdom. Part of the "tour" included getting on an elevator with a Vampire and riding to the 2nd floor. First of all, I damn near thought the Vampire was going to bite me...he was deep into the role...I'm scared now telling you about it. Mind you, this was in 1997, before vampires were cool. Second of all, this was the first "floor drop" I had ever been exposed to. So here i am, awaiting a vicious attack from a beautifully wretched creature & then the freak'n floor drops out from under me TWICE. I was praying, "Lord, please get me out of this confined space, and I will never ever ever put myself in the predicament ever again"...now when a haunted house makes you pray...that is a memorable moment!

My best moment is funny to me, and at the time it was VERY embarrassing. Me, my boyfriend from high school, and our friends were waiting in the line outside of a haunted house. My boyfriend had been standing behind me with his arms wrapped around my waist. Every once in a while, he would let go, but a minute or 2 later, he would cuddle with me again. I was talking to friends when he let go, and of course he put his arms back around my waist. A few minutes later, he was breathing heavily behind me, so I told him to stop. He didnt. I turned around to tell him to stop, and it was a guy all dressed like a demon was standing there, and scared the CRAP out of me. I screamed bloody murder, and my instinct took over, where I then kneed him in the nads. He doubled over as my friends AND my boyfriend rolled with laughter. I felt really bad and kept apologizing. Wow, that was a LONG time ago, LOL

The first one that comes to mind is from Xtreme Fear 2 years ago. Our group was paired with a young couple. We were nearing the end of the haunt when chainsaw madness erupted....two or three guys came out of nowhere with them. The boyfriend (a decently sized fellow) threw his girlfriend towards the costumed maniacs and tore off like a bat outta hell to the parking lot. Doubled over with laughter we finally escorted the young woman to the parking lot to find her boyfriend locked in the car.
Similarly I attended Midway Wicked Woods last year with some co-workers. One young lady pushed me down and ran for the hills when the hayride /headless horseman portion ended.

I'd say my favorite haunted house moment was after we exited the Haunted Mill, my sister and her best friend took off running for the car as soon as they heard the chainsaws, and me and my mom were walking back towards the parking lot when three boys came running out of the Mill chased by a man with a chainsaw. They scattered in every direction when another person with a chainsaw came out from the opposite parking lot and headed straight for one of them, who then threw himself on the ground and covered his head screaming and laid there for a good couple minutes, his friends had left him there.
