World Zombie Day, which made its wildly successful debut in 2008, returns to infect cities worldwide on October 11, 2009. http://www.myspace.com/nczombiewalkDATE FOR RALEIGH ZOMBIEWALK 2009 ANNOUNCED!!!! This year's Zombiewalk will be held in Downtown Raleigh on October 24th, 2009. The Zombies will gather at Sunset and walk at 7 PM!!!! For the uninitiated, the Zombie Walk is a simple concept -- you dress up in zombie gear, lurch your way through downtown with the other zombies, and stay in character, grunting and slurring on the hunt for fresh brains and flesh. The Walk is a family-friendly event; however, plenty will be happening afterward in downtown Raleigh for the over-21 crowd. I always want to go to these, but it never seems to happen. Maybe if Winston had one I'd go. Seems like all of them take place at least 1hr and half / two hours away, which, is a little far with everything else happening in October.
I'd even go just for the photo opportunities - all those zombies make for good pics.

Charlotte info:http://www.myspace.com/charlottezombiewalk
The Third annual Charlotte Zombie Walk will be SUNDAY OCTOBER 11th (World Zombie Day) from 2-4pm at PHIL'S NEW YORK DELI AND TAVERN at 5th and Tryon Streets in Uptown Charlotte. we are looking to hold a blood drive, canned food drive and a third charity to be mentioned later. Yes, ther IS a Panthers game that day so there should be plenty of tasty brains for everyone...

And for the record, I do run the Charlotte Zombie Walk. I'll be announcing dates and times sometime in June after I get back from MHC.
Hope EVERYONE makes it and brings friends.

What exactly is the Zombie walk all about? Maybe I've been living under a rock...but, I've never heard of this . Thanks.
