Just started making a couple new coustumes for the 2010 season.  Our haunt is The Slaughter House, so both costumes will have to be very bloody. I grabbed two different mask at the end of last year" love the after halloween sales ".  I'm looking for some " good " quality hands. Not any that look like devils or skeleton hands, but some that would be more zombie or rotton flesh type . Anyone know where I could find some? Any one else working on anything?

Morris Costumes has a large assortment of hands (and well, a large assortment of most everything).
Call them for their catalog - and be prepared for a large, heavy box!

An alternative is to use gardening gloves, the kind that has a latex palm and spandex back.  They're perfect for 'rotting' using paper towels and latex.  A little makeup and/or paint makes for some nasty, nasty gloves  ;-)

Are you looking for severed hands as props, or attached, preferable to your actors?

I'm looking for the  "glove" type hands for an actor. I will prob. take  Prof.'s advise...& doctor them up, but I  wanted to see if anyone knew where the was something "off the shelf" that looked pretty good for one of our "main character" costumes.

I would just use standard latex gloves and add liquid latex to them to get the peeling/dripping flesh look and dirty them up with makeup.  Should be cheap and effective.

Now if you want claws, I would recommend Distortions Killer Klaw series...
