our thought process put the "timely manner" issue on a back burner, temporarily. we were thinking along the lines of having a bottomless money-pit...lol. you know, when you have an idea, you create a concept as if all were in perfect world order, then tame it down to a reality situation.
oh, there is no doubt some folks wouldn't be able to handle it, but like most haunts it's enter at your own risk.
the concept would have to be very simple, as in each room has a black box (or whatever storage container is used must be consistent). your goal is to find said black box, reach inside and retrieve the scavenger "item" (we were thinking a femur bone, a squishy eyeball, vampire teeth, a key, etc.) - to find said box, you would have to decipher a directional clue. nothing to mull over for 5 minutes or more, clues would have to be quick-answer types.
for example, say you are in the kitchen of a haunt, your clue would be, (this is a mere rough draft-no laughing-lol) "witches brew simmers nearby, but it's still missing an eye, look near the pot, it's not very hot, stick your hand in-but don't contract a stye"...the set up would be pots of gross soup-like stuff on the stove and next to this stove would be a black box with a hole in the top, where your item is located. when said person attempts to obtain the "eye" a hand pops up from a pot or something comes out from under a table & catches them off guard.
things like this...i know you are laughing at my rhyme...i am
