I can not confirm nor deny, but, lets just say that there may be some big news in the works for the Miner's Lodge. And there MAY be some extra possibilities for some lucky souls to spend a night inside of it. Stay tuned as we work out the fine print, cross the lower case t's, dot the lower case j's you know the whole ordeal. Soon as it is in stone, I will be sure to let you guys know.

Its neat to find out that haunts that people think are pretend shows actually have something else lurking in the shadows. Makes it more real.

I love the idea of being able to maybe spend the night at the miners lodge! Makes me feel like one of the members of Ghost Hunters!

Now, this is not set in stone as of YET, but I did get a memo across my desk tonight that stated to add this to our website:
Due to unforeseen, overwhelming response to stay overnight in the Miner's Lodge we are looking into making this haunted experience available for more than just those who are lucky enough to be drawn for the free overnight stay. We have seen such an enormous interest in doing such, that we are in the planning stages of making this opportunity available year round. For those of you who are interested I can tell you that the current rate in discussion is $40.00 per person per night just to stay overnight and experience the natural haunts of the house and the land. (maximum of three people per night) For the full haunted experience the rate is $60.00 per person per night to stay in the house and experience the natural haunts of the house and the land as well as frequent visits from our actors who are going to try and give you the most terrifying experience of your life. All reservations must be prepaid 2 weeks in advance and all deposits will be nonrefundable. Additional information will be posted on the web site as plans are finalized which should be within the next few days. Please call 336.861.0532 for more information or to book your stay in advance today!
Now, as I said, this is not written in stone, however, I was told from the people above me to get this information to the public so that they know what is in store in the very near future. I realize to some people this sounds pretty steep, but if you have checked into the over night stays at other "haunted" events, such as have been listed on the "real haunted places" forum, you will see it is pretty much right in step with these, and is also a much longer time frame to enjoy the area with much less crowding, and a much more "personal" setting.
Also before the actually reservation stays take place, we do have a paranormal team who is going to investigate it, they have sat aside two days to cover the entire attraction. They have already been here twice already and once have recorded "voices" in the Miner's Lodge itself.

I say good luck. I'm sure more than one person will take you up on this offer.

Actually what convinced us to do it, is we had like 3 groups last saturday with check book in hand asking Jim how much he'd take to do it. And trust me when I say, their offers was far higher than what we are discussing as a price. After reading this post again, I felt the need to elaborate on what I was saying. Don't mistake what I intended. We aren't doing it just because people offered us money, we have been offered a LOT even before this. It was just the overwhelming response that we have received from everyone. We literally get every day at least 5 to 10 phone calls and at least 10 to 20 emails a day asking about the over night stay and what are the possibilities of even if they do not win, us still letting them stay. So, this is that chance that everyone has been asking for. We have already received reservations just from the small thing I put up last night on our site. The two winners of the over night stay drawing however, will be completely free!

You are not the only one who is shocked. We just thought we was doing something a little off center offering this up as just two nights of fun for us, getting to scare two sets of people, while they enjoy being at our haunt ... little did we realize what kind of uproar it was going to start with people offering us money just to stay, and in some very sizable amounts that we turned away. After an entire season of having to tell people "no", we finally just gave in. If people want it that bad, why not give it to them!
