So radiant_red and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Disney. On select nights, the Magic Kingdom has Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween and we opted to go. The park re-opens at 7pm and stays open until 12am.
I would recommend this to anyone that loves Disney, or anyone who wants a classic, Halloween experience.
The entire Magic Kingdom is decorated for Halloween.

We visited the Magic Kingdom during the day and night so we could ride more of the rides and enjoy the entire nighttime experience.

I love that Disney encourages everyone to play along. Everyone is encouraged to dress up. I was a little nervous that day and asked a staff member if the adults really dressed up and she was right: THEY DO!!
I painted my face as a Day of the Dead skeleton and Casey wore her awesome masquerade mask and a dark wig with vampire teeth.

Casey has all the pics of us, so she'll have to post some.

Walking up at night to the entrance was great. The sun was already falling. The entrance was illuminated.

Disney has really awesome balloons. If you can see, they have eyeballs and glowing Mickeys. If I could have brought a balloon on the plane home, I would have bought one.

We walked up Main Street and people were already lining up and grabbing their places for the parade. We went up towards the Castle to catch part of their stage show. They have Disney music and scary sounds all throughout the area. Up Main street, ghost were projected on the sides of the buildings. The main show, what we could see, was great. I'm a big fan of the Disney Villains and they were dancing and singing, entertaining everyone before the parade started.

The Headless Horseman started the parade. They had some great floats and great actors dancing, and moving to choreographed scenes.

There were these skeleton musicians, rockin' to a backtrack, but they were awesome! We watched the parade twice just to catch them again. We picked up the Magic Kingdom soundtrack and its great!

After the parade we headed to the Castle and then Frontierland. The castle was unbelievably pretty. It changed colors every few seconds and they had all sorts of projections on the sides. For the fireworks, Casey and I were at separate places, so we got entirely different shots. I would say, if you weren't interested in seeing the parade, or the fireworks it would be a great time to ride rides, but i don't see the point. I came at night to see these productions.

After the fireworks, we went off to ride the Haunted Mansion and explore more of the shops. Apparently, DisneyLAND does their haunted mansion differently. They theme theirs with Jack Skellington and we didn't see that at ours. But, you can't be disappointed with the Haunted Mansion, because it alone is awesome.

I highly recommend Disney Not So Scary Halloween to anyone and everyone - definitely worth it!!

Fantastic photos!  It looks like that was a heckuva good time...even if scares were (purposefully) low.
