As many of you know, I own a haunt consulting business that specializes in training actors. At Transworld this past March, I was speaking to an owner of one of the haunts on this board and we talked about the idea of holding a massive training session for actors sometime in late summer.
I normally charge a certain fee for 4-6 hours of actor training, but tend to offer a reduced rate for local haunts. He is interested in hiring my services but with the economy being what it is everyone is trying to save money where they can and I can't say I blame him. However, we talked about offering his haunt as a place to conduct a day-long session of my "Boo Camp" and inviting other haunts in the area to bring their actors in and charging each haunt a vastly reduced rate for training.
Basically it boils down to this; if you are interested in having your actors (especially your novices) experience "Boo Camp" for a significantly reduced price, please let me know and I will get the ball rolling. The haunt owner and I have not committed to doing this but I think it would be a great way for all the haunts on this board to learn from each other and to get to know who your haunted neighbors are.
