did anyone go see this movie?  i did. not sure what your reaction was, but i thought it was pretty dang scary, yes totally predictable ending, but still a good flick.  great, ear peircing, theme song at the beginning and end.  thoughts??  put it like this, i went to bed thinking about it...for a couple of days.

I went opening night.

I found the movie to be bi-polar.  The first half of the film was scary with an incredibly developed creepy mood to it.  Of course this was because "less is more" in terms of inspiring fear on film.  The second half of the film where we begin to see what/who is tormenting the family.....becomes laughably stupid.  The direction they went along with crappy CGI just ruined the entire thing for me.

I didn't see it in the theater, but I saw it on dvd last week. It was creepy at times. I felt like it employed some of the old school scary effects and had a definite eerieness to it. I liked the way they did the title too.

I thought it was creepy; the first half creepier than the second. It was suspenseful.  Some of the characters in the "other" were so creepy though, I loved it. I can see some haunt recreating the lair/room they have to enter at the end. The long, red, hallway, and then the room set up was creepy as well. Do you think they left it open at the end for a sequel like PA did?

a 2nd one...you know it could be done...the old woman gives me the heebie jeebies, she was SCARY...the thought of her was at least.  I should dress up like her for Halloween.
