Is laser tag sustainable as part of an expensive haunted atrraction? Does this meet "haunted expectations"?  We thought about this poll to find out what others think about this.

If you want to elaborate, please share about the following:
1) how should the equipment be managed, e.g., what if the guns do not work?
2) how many zombies should you get to shoot at?
3) should the zombies die when you shoot them, or wait to be shot by everyone in the team, then die?
4) should you get some kind of score at the end, or should your team?
5) what should you do if other patrons shoot at you instead of the zombies?
6) would you pay extra to shoot zombies at a haunted venue?
7) would you rather walk, single file, with your group through several zombie scenes or spend the extra 20 minutes in a scary corn maze?

The customers guns are set to friendly fire off, so they can't shoot each other.  We are trying new things instead that no one has ever tried, we were the first to use trams, remote flashlights, corn fields, unguided haunt concept back in the day, and now an interactive element using laser tag.  There is no rule book on what a haunted house should be.  But we would like to think out of the box and see how it is received.

2012 will be a even bigger year of change coming with a separate attraction ticket that takes the interactive element and expands into the customer having the power to set off massive explosions and activating props using the laser tag guns.  The production value of our laser tag area is just amazing, my gut says this is what the new generation of fright seekers will want.  We are taking the massive game audience and giving them a real life experience and if we can make it using zombies why not make it part of Halloween.

Thanks Tony,
...for putting it "out there" and taking the risks to explore new entertainment for your customers.
Doing anything on a large scale takes a huge amount of investment, patience and "cojones" to make it happen.
Im sure the new show will be a huge hit!
Congrats!

Honestly, I appreciate the outside thinking and the creative approach they took this year.   However, I felt it was so outside from the rest of the haunt, that it didn't fit in well.   I'd rather they stick to improving their scare factor and less on entertainment value.   It may be somewhat fun, but I am looking to get scared and startled when I go to a haunt.   I liked how they made the overall attraction longer this year, but I feel like they are getting away from what put them on the map.

I have not experienced it yet, But I feel like that couldn't/wouldn't have any scare factor. I love Spookywoods, and dare not bash their work. I love how he is taking leap of faith with, stepping outside of this box. I can't wait to experience it, if I can get the money to in time! Cheesy
