Treedine's has two parts: real scary and fun scary. Naturally, we had to try them both only to discover that they're both real, fun scary. This is South Carolina, so of course there was an itty bitty 7 year old chasing us with a butcher's knife.
Scare Factor - 3.5/5 - That's a scare rating. They get a 5/5 for fun. This is how to use a slide. This is how to use like 7 black mazes.
Actors - 3.5/5 - Some jumped out of character within ear shot. Some weren't ready for our group. But there were lots of them and you're gonna get got just because of the sheer number of 'em. And they're funny, like interactive funny. In the Psyko Asylum, one guy used a calm, high-pitched mellow voice that I use for our youngest doggie - very freaky. 7 year old child who was in the Asylum and then suddenly running at us from between two cars in the parking lot. Probably too many guides - actually, too many guides.
Set Design/Props/FX - 5/5 - We walked, we crawled, we slid, we got lost, we went over water, we got muddy, we went up, we went down, and there were tons of dark mazes with sharp corners, and one maze in particular with an unruly and not properly covered diagonal beam, that being the first in my group, met my left eyebrow.
Length - 5/5 - Even if we'd just done the trail, then we would've been satisfied. The Asylum is shorter than the trail, but the trail is way long.
Overall - 5/5 - Yes, two five out of fives in one night! Very awesome. Very fun. Very engaging.
