Hey, I'm just wondering if anything has been planned for a spring haunt? I've been looking forward to doing something haunt/Halloween related.

Rubies, I'm assuming you're talking about something like what we did a few years ago when we went to Morris Costumes, Nightmare on Independence  and Haunted Mill?  No, I don't think there's anything in the works for this Spring, unfortunately.  It just seems like everyone is far too busy.  Personally, I work almost every Saturday, so it's hard for me to plan anything for the weekend.  We definitely need to do something like that again, though.

Bored on Saturday night so bumping this.  Wondering about interest in folks getting together for dinner or such before the season kicks in and everyone gets insanely busy.

I would love to have a "get together" if possible.
Even if a haunt isn't involved, maybe dinner & a movie.
If we could get a haunt to "open up early" that would be great too.

Well, perhaps we need to try to plan something then.  What day is best for everyone?  I know Sunday is usually the best day for me.

Saturday or  Sunday either would be good for me... need to be kinda of "central" for everyone if possible...I know I'm WAY east of most of the people here, but driving 100 miles or so isn't a problem.

Another vote for Sunday.  Will try and give it a few days for some more regulars to check in and then see if we can pick a date / location.  Definitely open to suggestions.  If we talk about incoporating a movie is there a decent horror film opening up in the next month or two?

The next big release for any horror films is 8/24.  You get "The Apparition" and "Sinister".  I've seen a preview for "Sinister", looks pretty cool.  Other than that you have the next Resident Evil movie in September, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, Paranormal Activity 4 and Halloween 3D in October and World War Z on New Year's Eve.

Edit: I take that back, Halloween 3D's release date is now "TBA".

this could be pushing the whole "spring" thing but dose anybody know of any haunts opening in Sept.?
Nightmare on Independence comes to mind....I've never been but heard they are inside & I think they open pretty early in the season...Huh Maybe someone with some "pull" could call them...or another haunt... maybe NOT one of the "big" ones everybody sees each year...just a suggestion.. We could possibly get a "sneak peek"  if they are close enough to being finished...
if not whatever is col with me.

Nightmare on Independence is no more.  The building got torn down and converted into a Wal-Mart   Angry  Most of their staff moved on to other haunts including the NC Fright Factory.
