Thanks for the comprehensive list, Badger!  Awesome!  :)

Which one/s do you suggest that have workshops/speakers re: haunt ownership, marketing, training and development and/or general business acumen for Owners?

Wishing you a happy 2013!

PS: may be faster to hit me up on Linkedin if easy for you.  Thanks!

Midwest is great for education, social, and all round good time. Way more so than some of the others, Halloween Extreme is a new show but is being billed as a show for all also.

Midwest is the BEST convention for a beginner.  The networking and social events, plus a great array of vendors and of course the best costume ball of the year make this the ONLY convention I will NEVER fail to attend...

Days of the Dead was AWESOME to say the least and I got some good interviews for the show.  If you missed it, you have a chance to redeem yourselves at Mad Monster Party...

MHC is (imho) a great event for everyone who loves haunting.  Highly recommended.
The Hacker House usually goes in force!
Haunted Attraction magazine one year said we were involved in a major power outage at the hotel - but is wasn't us, really...
If you've never been, it's worth the trip - right Slaughter?
The transworld hauntshow is for owners/buyers, and unless you're buying or selling, it isn't worth it...
IAAPA is the most amazing trade show anywhere, also costs $200+ for a ticket, but Wow.
Hauntcon is excellent, but moves around, this year it's Dallas - waaaaay to far to drive.
The others... well... there are others? ;-)

FYI -
MHC's friday night bus tour is going to Dead Acres/Haunted Hoochie, which says its the 'most extreme' haunt in the country.  It is a very unique experience, and IS an assault on the senses, and is NOT for the squeamish. (see their videos on Youtube for a clue)
