Date attended: 10/25

Scare Factor: 1/5 - This place has a good location. In fact, they have a really good location. However, they don't do a very good job of utilizing it. Scares here are hit and miss; sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. The first house was pretty cool, actually and was probably the strongest part of the entire haunt. There were a few other decent scares, and a few not so good scares. There were a few good spots in the cornfield, and some horrible, horrible spots.

Actors: 1/5 - More than half of them were kids. More than half of them had no costume except a mask. However, most fell either to one extreme or the other. The only reason this place gets its 1 is because there were about  4 actors who were too good for this place. After the first house, someone yells, "boo, dawg." Not scary. There are lots and lots of child actors here who have no clue how to scare somebody. In the corn field, a girl came up to me and asked me if I worked there, and why I wasn't in my spot. I clearly don't work here and clearly wasn't in costume (and neither were most of the actors). I almost stepped on two kids laying in the pathway in the witch scene in the cornfield. Sigh.

Set Design/Props/FX: 2.5/5 - Sets were minimal, with a few good looking scenes in the first house and in some of the other houses. Lots and lots of bare spots, however.

Length: 2.5/5 - Long does not always mean good. It lasted about 30 minutes with a lot of dead spots between scenes. Tighten it up and pack more scares in a smaller area, or invest in more props and actors.

Value: 2.5/5 - It was a $8 trail, length was worth it but not nearly enough scares.

Overall: 1.5/5 - Only a few decent scares, too many child actors, way too minimal costumes, too many dead spots. A few actors stood out and were too good for the place. I know their heart was in the right place, and I believe this is a fairly new trail. My advice for them is to tighten it up, more actors (less child actors however) and a little better line management. As of now, however I don't recommend this place.

Whatever you do, don't fall asleep.
